Colorado COVID Relief Fund FAQ

Deadline One Awards (April 4, 2020)

The first round of funding awards from the Fund provide a total of $4.8 million to 206 community-based organizations who are serving Coloradans who are being especially hit hard and disproportionately affected by COVID. Funds were distributed for this deadline in the Prevention and Impact funding priorities.

Of the total applications that were approved, 148 ($3.4 million) were awarded for the Impact funding priority and 58 ($1.4 million) were awarded for Prevention. The Fund’s review committees and Decision and Allocation Committee utilized a coordination review process to ensure alignment with the Fund’s eligibility criteria and were informed by community liaisons from across Colorado to ensure grant awards are in service to the most acute needs of communities.

Deadline Two Awards (April 18, 2020)

The second round of funding provided a total of $3.6 million to 165 community-based organizations that are serving Coloradans who are being especially hit hard and disproportionately affected by COVID. Funds were distributed for this round in the Prevention and Impact priority areas.

Of the total applications that were approved, 122 ($2.66 million) were awarded for the Impact priority area and 43 ($948,600) were awarded for Prevention. The Fund’s review committees and Decision and Allocation Committee engaged in a coordinated review process to ensure alignment with the Fund’s eligibility criteria and were informed by community data and insights from across Colorado to ensure grant awards are in service to the most acute needs of communities.

Deadline Three Awards (May 2, 2020)

The third round of funding provided a total of $2.7 million to 134 community-based organizations that are serving Coloradans who are being especially hit hard and disproportionately affected by COVID. Funds were distributed for this round in the Prevention and Impact priority areas.

Of the total applications that were approved, 101 ($2.09 million) were awarded for the Impact priority area and 33 ($649,945) were awarded for Prevention. The Fund’s review committees and Decision and Allocation Committee engaged in a coordinated review process to ensure alignment with the Fund’s eligibility criteria and were informed by community data and insights from across Colorado to ensure grant awards are in service to the most acute needs of communities.

Deadline Four Awards (May 16, 2020)

The fourth round of funding provided a total of $2.97 million to 145 community-based organizations that are serving Coloradans who are being especially hit hard and disproportionately affected by COVID. Funds were distributed for this round in the Impact and Recovery priority areas.

Of the total applications that were approved, 63 ($1.28 million) were awarded for the Impact priority area and 82 ($1.69 million) were awarded for Recovery. The Fund’s review committees and Decision and Allocation Committee engaged in a coordinated review process to ensure alignment with the Fund’s eligibility criteria and were informed by community data and insights from across Colorado to ensure grant awards are in service to the most acute needs of communities.
